We try to keep as much on the farm as possible, ensuring that we grow our own feed for the animals and take them from farm to shop.
The farm consists of three sites that span roughly 300 acres, growing winter wheat, barley, oats, fodder beet, turnips and beans. All corn, when harvested, is stored in our own grain store and milled every 2 weeks creating a mixture of wheat, barley, oats, beans with some millasis. In springtime, the first flush of grass is cut for silage and hay, then baled for winter feed.
Our cattle graze on the farm for approximately 18 months before moving to the cattle yard. Lambing starts in Feb, with ewes being housed from Jan, these animals are scanned prior to being housed allowing us to have an indication of feed needed, for doubles and triples. When lambs are born, Ewe and her lambs go out into the fields and the ewes are given fodder beet or turnips to keep the milk flowing.

We also supply our wholesale products such as sausages, bacon and bakery items to retail customers across the UK.
